Packaged System:A choice of heating and refrigerated cooling (or refrigerated cooling only), with all components combined into one weatherproof cabinet. Packaged systems are usually located on the roof. A typical application would be a light commercial installation, (eg: office premise)

Once upon a time home climate control was a choice of either hot or cold. You had a heater for winter, but sweltered in summer. Lennox changes all that, because with Ice-cube add-on cooling it is now easy to send wonderfully cool air through the same ductwork as your ducted heating system

The versatility of the Lennox system enables all the options, for in-roof or down flow applications. In addition, if you have a Lennox external gas ducted heating furnace, the cooling coil can be accommodated inside the heater cabinet.

What is add-on cooling? |
Add-on cooling is the addition of a coil and condensing unit to your existing gas ducted central heating system, thus providing the ability to deliver cool, refrigerated air throughout your home. The existing fan within the heater is utilised, as are the existing ductwork and registers (note: depending on application some modifications may be required) Once installed, the system operates as a split ducted air conditioning system but without the added cost of duplicated ducting, fan unit or registers.
Lennox Ice-Cube add-on cooling can be specified at the same time as your Lennox Equaliser gas ducted heating, or it can be fitted at a later date. However, because of slightly larger ductwork is required, Lennox recommends that this requirement be taken into consideration at the time of the original installation.

Lennox add-on cooling can be installed where your existing gas ducted heating system is a Lennox product OR NOT. A Lennox contractor will be able to assess, obligation-free, how much cooling power you require and what modifications, if any, will be required to install add-on cooling.
Your cooling requirements can be assessed at the time you purchase your heating, and the appropriate ductwork installed to accommodate the add-on cooling. When you come to install your cooling system no additional expense will be incurred for ductwork. In some instances, depending on the size of the cooling unit required to run the system at its optimum efficiency, (and thus the amount of work it will be required to do) your contractor may recommend the installation of 3-phase, or 415 volt power. This effectively lowers running costs, and results in faster payback of the installation cost through energy savings. |
